GLASSPOXY is a translucent epoxy resin for laminating and coating, designed to manufacture, reinforce, protect and waterproof your projects while preserving their appearance. Compatible with the main reinforcement materials such as glass fibre, carbon fibre and flax fibre, it offers excellent impregnation and makes it possible to produce strong composite parts with a high-quality finish.
Its viscosity also allows surfaces to be coated effectively, creating an epoxy coating with a deep finish. This is particularly useful for protecting and enhancing a part, a carbon fibre laminate or certain resin creations.
From manufacturing a composite part to coating a surface, GLASSPOXY is suitable for a wide range of projects. It can be used for glass fibre or carbon fibre laminating, carbon fibre skinning, vacuum moulding, waterproofing and model making.
Its versatility makes it possible to produce both technical parts and aesthetic finishes using a single epoxy system.
GLASSPOXY is particularly suitable for applications where the final appearance of the part is important. Its clear resin preserves the visibility of fibres and materials while providing a high-quality finish.
On a carbon fibre part, decorative object or surface already made from resin, it can be used to create a transparent coating with a deep finish, while protecting the substrate against moisture and everyday wear.
For complete UV protection, the use of a UV-resistant varnish is strongly recommended.
With its 2:1 mixing ratio by volume, GLASSPOXY is easy to measure using a graduated mixing cup. Its pot life of approximately 35 minutes at 20 °C provides plenty of time to work carefully with the resin, impregnate the fibres or achieve a smooth, even finish. At 20 °C, demoulding is possible after approximately 13 hours, allowing work on the part to continue the following day.
For carbon fibre skinning or the manufacture of a visible composite part, GLASSPOXY impregnates the fibres while preserving their visual appearance. Its transparency highlights the carbon weave and helps achieve a smooth, protected and attractive surface. It is therefore a particularly suitable solution when the carbon fibre is intended to remain visible and play an integral role in the final appearance of the part.
GLASSPOXY is compatible with the fibre reinforcements commonly used in composites. It effectively impregnates glass, carbon or flax fabrics to produce strong, lightweight and durable parts. It is suitable for both manual laminating using a roller or brush and vacuum moulding, making it suitable for a wide range of composite projects, from hobby applications to more technical projects.

GLASSPOXY is not only designed for manufacturing composite parts. When applied to a surface, the resin also forms a durable protective layer against moisture and wear while waterproofing the substrate. This combination of protection, transparency and durability makes it particularly suitable for surfaces that need to retain their appearance while benefiting from long-lasting protection.
GLASSPOXY has been developed to provide good mechanical performance while remaining easy to process. It develops its properties at room temperature and therefore does not necessarily require a post-curing cycle for the intended applications. Parts can be demoulded after approximately 13 hours at 20 °C, after which their properties continue to develop progressively until full cure is achieved.
Our resins are formulated without toxic substances (GHS06), without carcinogenic, mutagenic or reprotoxic substances (GHS08), and without free BPA (bisphenol A), for safer and more controlled use.
Formulated, manufactured and packaged in France, GLASSPOXY benefits from Sicomin's expertise, recognised worldwide in the marine, composites, industrial and technical repair sectors.
In addition to our detailed instructions, our team of specialists is here to help you successfully complete your project: choosing reinforcements, preparing the mixture, laminating, coating, carbon fibre skinning or vacuum processing. Our technical support team is also available by telephone to answer your questions and advise you on the use of GLASSPOXY.

*No epoxy resin is completely resistant to UV exposure and will inevitably yellow over time. However, we significantly slow down this ageing process through the use of high-quality raw materials and additives specifically designed to absorb UV radiation.
